We love chatting to our customers and finding out how they’re coming along with their new garden projects. That’s why this week, we caught up with Stuart to see how he was putting his newly acquired workshop to use.
Having an open space in his garden that can be utilised for something more productive is a blessing. Not many can afford to allocate space for bigger buildings, so it’s a godsend when a client has a boat load of space to play around with.
Stuart was lucky enough to have a huge space to fill in his back garden, and decided that he wanted to buy his son a workshop to conduct business ventures from.
As a mechanic, his son needed something big enough to fit car parts and motorcycles in – so Stu knew he needed something large.
And although larger buildings often set alarm bells ringing (with the price of timber going up), Stuart was elated when he visited Garden Buildings Direct and saw our very competitive prices on all products, no matter the size.

Upon arrival, the father and son duo cracked on with building right away. Being handy with tools, they had it erected in practically no time at all – although our products are designed for those with no experience in handiwork also.
‘We found your customer service excellent. The shed was delivered in good time and order. The shed is now almost up and ready for my son to use as his Man cave!’
They decided to spare on the decoration process, instead leaving their new workshop in its natural state – as after all most, mechanics are used to a gritty and rustic workplace.
However, Stuart did decide to secure boards to the interior to strengthen it slightly, and electrics were installed so it can be used no matter the weather or time of year.
‘We’ve not decided yet whether to paint the shed or just use a clear coat to enhance the natural colour however myself and my son have insulated and boarded out the shed and installed electricity and light so that it can be used all year round.’
