Whether you're looking specifically for a classic wendy house or a more modern children's playhouse, we've got a wide range of playhouses to choose from. Made using quality materials, and complete with safety certifications, our outdoor playhouses are perfect for young, energetic children!
With our wide range of tower playhouses, two-storey playhouses, playhouses with slides and more, there’s sure to be both a size and style to suit your family. All of our childrens play houses are made with high-quality timber fitted together in durable tongue and groove cladding.
What Timber Construction Do You Use?
We build all our playhouses from our reliable tongue and groove cladding. This lock-together cladding offers a tight seal against water ingress and makes for a solid, weather-resistant building. Every single timber playhouse we sell has been designed, engineered and shipped from the UK.
The durable wood construction of our playhouses, with a little care and maintenance, will last for years upon years and provide a safe and healthy place for children to play.
Are Your Playhouses Safe For Children?
At Garden Buildings Direct, safety is our highest priority when providing you and your children with a garden playhouse. That’s why all our products are EN71-compliant, tested to the highest standards of outside garden buildings for domestic use, and built with children in mind.
All the features of our products are built with safety in mind. Our windows use SAN shatterproof glazing, all ladders are anti-slip, and any tower extensions have protective railings.
Bear in mind, of course, the best way to ensure your child’s safety is to be vigilant whenever they’re using your play house. Once you’ve installed the building, there are a few things you can do to make sure your kids use our products safely.
We suggest keeping the playhouse outside and placing it 2 metres or more away from other structures or obstructions. Only allow children aged over 36 months to use the playhouse, due to potential falls and choking hazards. Unfortunately, our playhouses are not designed for older children or teenagers; there is often a maximum user weight of 50kg. We recommend an age range of 3-12 years old.
What Playhouse Features Are Available?
All our playhouse models are available with a whole host of fantastic features. Add a slide to a tower playhouse for extra fun, or an additional floor to create a bunk-level playhouse - ideal for sleepovers and imaginative play! Flower boxes and window planters are also great for kids with a green thumb, and options such as a picket fences give them their very own garden!
Our wendy houses offer lots of room for customisation with painting (and repainting as kids get older) as well as the ability to install things like shelving to hold toys and games. Our selection of wood paints give you and the kids the option to decorate their playhouse in a colour they love.
Do You Offer Guarantees on Your Playhouses?
Every single one of our playhouses comes with a 10-year protective guarantee. This guarantee protects the building against wood rot, fungal decay, and insect infestation, ensuring long-lasting use of your building.
Additionally, many of our playhouses are available to be pressure treated. Pressure treatment is a chemical process that sees preservative chemicals forcefully injected into the timber, therefore allowing it to stay stronger for longer. When opting for pressure treatment, we’ll extend the guarantee on your building up to 15 years!
