Wood and Weather Protection Options

The strong timber frame of your Lincoln will come with golden brown spray treatment to protect it throughout delivery. However, optional pressure-treatment is available to offer an added level of protection in even harsh weather conditions. Our pressure-treated wooden greenhouses also come with an increased 15-year guarantee protecting your building against rot, insect infestation, and decay. Galvanised steel ironmongery is all used in all the fittings for protection in extreme weather. Otherwise, we suggest that you treat your wood after installation and again annually.

The Lincoln 4000 is a strong and traditional greenhouse made with a robust framework. The sturdy 11mm tongue and groove cladding is utilised in the sturdy panels of this wooden design.

Polycarbonate Glazing

Polycarbonate glazing has better heat retention properties than a glass greenhouse, allowing you to keep your plants in optimal growing conditions for longer. Twin wall polycarbonate panels are featured throughout the walls and the windowed roof of the Lincoln greenhouse to maximise on natural lighting throughout the day.

This garden greenhouse is surrounded by polycarbonate glazed windows offering great indirect natural light to all of your precious plants throughout the day. The Apex roof gives you a tall design with great head height and easy access to all areas of your greenhouse, complemented by the wide opening double doors. The building also comes with small but integral gutters that run down the roof edge to help move the rainwater away from the building and the entrance.

Base Size and Room For Potting Plants

The various sizes of the greenhouse suit a range of needs, from a thin greenhouse for smaller projects or hobbyists to a 12x6 greenhouse with increased floor space to easily fit all of your plants, projects, gardening tools, and even a potting bench! Shelving is a great addition to a greenhouse giving you extra storage by increasing your vertical space. This allows you to grow on the ground level while keeping all other gardening equipment safely stored away.

As with all of our greenhouses, this building is quick and easy to install and comes as pre-assembled panels. Simply fit the glazing into these panels, and you can begin to construct your building. Once completed, you have the option of keeping the classic style of your greenhouse, or as many of our customers have done, you can paint the greenhouse to suit your style.

Installation, Assembly and Assembly Kits

With a ridge height of 1.97m (6ft4) and eaves height of 1.52m (5ft), this wooden greenhouse shouldn't require planning permission so long as it isn't larger than 50% of your garden or built past the front wall of your house. Planning permission may vary, however, and we suggest you check with your local council if you have any concerns.

We don't offer an installation service on this garden building simply because its modular design allows for easy construction and the materials used ensure the dependable quality of all BillyOh greenhouses. Just follow the assembly instructions provided with your order and build your polycarbonate apex greenhouse onto a solid foundation like timber bearers and sub-floor or a concrete base.
